Annual Fall Field Trial November 22, and 23, 2008
Our Fall Trial will be held near Pawnee City, NE. Bluestem and gamma grasses with weeds will be the cover. We have a couple of big fields for courses to help us get a crosswind. We are looking forward to a good trial, see details on www.essft.com. Hope to see you there.

Annual Club Meeting Friday, January 11, 2008
New Officers elected were Steve Beyer, President, Bud Clouse, VP, and Sue Jack, Sect. / Treasurer. Bill Willett will be Spring Field Trial Chairman. Annual dues of $50.00 are due January 1st. Next meeting will be January 2009 unless special business requires a meeting before that.

National Amateur Championship 2007
ESSCEN member Bill Willett won the NAC Friday with his dog "Clipper". He also got a CM with "Sally". The Amateur National was held in Chelan, Washington. Complete trial info and placements are on www.essft.com . Congratulations to Bill and all who finished the trial.

Spring Field Trial 3/29 and 3/30/2008
Our Spring Field Trial was held near Douglas, Nebraska on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, 2008. Judges were Tom Menzel, of Wisconsin, and Mike Noland, of Ontario. We had 36 dogs in the Open and 29 dogs in the Amateur stakes and 12 entrants in the Puppy stake. Rain held off until after the trial and we had a good time. Results are posted on www.essft.com under 2008 placements.

Summer Hunt Test
We had a Sanctioned Hunt Test on Saturday, June 21,2008. South of Louisville, NE. It was quite successful and because of the interest we will plan a licensed Hunt test next summer. Lunch was provided by Mike Ayars and it was great. For more information contact Bud Clouse at clouseba@yahoo.com.

Water test Summer 2008
Platte River club held a AKC Water test August 16,2008. 15 dogs participated with 14 passing the test. 2 dogs completed their Championships with this test.

National Championship Trials 2008
The National Open will be held in Bath, NY on November 8th, and the National Amateur will be in Lima, Ohio December 8th. The best of the best will be competing for the National Championship title
